Rogue River Chieftains (Rogue River, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Brookings-Harbor Bruins (Brookings, OR), 11-10 in a league challenge.

The Chieftains now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Douglas for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 23.

With the loss, Brookings-Harbor falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Toledo (Toledo, OR) to battle the Boomers in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 25. The Boomers enter the challenge with a record of 2-2.
