Castle Knights (Newburgh, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mount Juliet Golden Bears (Mt. Juliet, TN), 11-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Baylor for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 22. Castle will face a Red Raiders squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Green Hill (Mt. Juliet, TN). The Red Raiders record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Mount Juliet falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Golden bears travel to Warren Township (Gurnee, IL) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Sunday, March 24. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Warren Township won 9-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Riverdale (Murfreesboro, TN)
