The New Athens Yellow Jackets softball team (New Athens, IL), was routed 9-4 in Thursday's non-league test with the host Elverado Falcons (Elkville, IL)

Coming up next, the Falcons clash with the Dongola Demons (Dongola, IL) in a South Egyptian test, on Friday, March 22. Elverado will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Demons come into the test with a 1-2 record after their 17-1 league loss to Shawnee (Wolf Lake, IL).

The Yellow Jackets (2-3) will now prepare for their test against DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL). The Indians come into the non-league test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, DuQuoin edged Chester (Chester, IL), 9-8, in a non-league test.
