Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Stone Tomcats (Wiggins, MS) and the visiting Sacred Heart Crusaders (Hattiesburg, MS), witnessed Stone's softball squad prevail over Sacred Heart by a count of 12-0.

The Tomcats now sport a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Wayne County for a 5A Region 4 match on Tuesday, March 26. Stone will face a War Eagles squad coming off a 8-7 league loss to Vancleave (Vancleave, MS). The War Eagles record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Sacred Heart moves to 0-4 on the season. The Crusaders host Our Lady Academy (Bay St. Louis, MS) to face the Crescents in a non-league match on Saturday, March 23. The Crescents go into the match with a record of 0-8. Our Lady Academy lost 27-11 in their recent league match against Perry Central (New Augusta, MS)
