Western Boone Stars (Thorntown, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Sheridan Blackhawks (Sheridan, IN), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Stars now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brownsburg for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Western Boone will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 14-7 non-league win over Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Sheridan falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Blackhawks travel to Indiana School for the Deaf (Indianapolis, IN) to battle the Deaf Hoosiers in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 25. The Deaf Hoosiers enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Indiana School for the Deaf won 17-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Christel House (Indianapolis, IN)
