Sussex Central Golden Knights (Georgetown, DE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE), 11-0 in a league challenge.

The Golden Knights now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Polytech for a Henlopen North challenge on Tuesday, March 26.

With the loss, Smyrna falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Milford (Milford, DE) to battle the Buccaneers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Milford lost 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Cape Henlopen (Lewes, DE)
