The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Tomahawk Hatchets (Tomahawk, WI) and the host Wausau East Lumberjacks (Wausau, WI), saw Tomahawk's softball squad achieve victory over Wausau East by a count of 18-7.

The Hatchets now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Mosinee for a Great Northern match on Tuesday, April 2.

With the loss, Wausau East falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Wausau West (Wausau, WI) to encounter the Warriors in a Wisconsin Valley test on Tuesday, April 2. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 0-0.
