The Butler Bears baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Thomas Nelson Generals to 2 in the Bears non-league win on Friday.
The Bears now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eastern for a non-league test on Saturday, March 22. Butler will play a Eagles team coming off a 11-2 non-league win over South Oldham (Crestwood, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 3-1.
With the defeat, Thomas Nelson drops to 1-2 on the year. The Generals host Danville (Danville, KY) to play the Admirals in a non-league test on Monday, March 24. The Admirals go into the test with a record of 4-1. Danville won 6-3 in their recent non-league test against Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY)
