In Friday's non-league game, the host Collierville Dragons baseball team scored a close 2-1 win over the South Gibson Hornets.
The Dragons (13-0) will now prepare for their game against Oxford (Oxford, MS). The Chargers go into the non-league game with a 7-7 record. In their last game, Oxford nudged DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS), 6-3, in a league game.
Next, the Hornets play the Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 22. South Gibson will attempt to improve on its 8-2 season record. The Tigers go into the game with a 7-7 record after their 15-1 league win over Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS).
