The Depew Hornets baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Nowata Ironmen to 0 in the Hornets non-league win on Friday.
The Hornets now hold a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host Davenport for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 25. Depew will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 17-0 non-league win over Depew (Depew, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-2.
With the defeat, Nowata drops to 0-7 on the year. The Ironmen host Newkirk (Newkirk, OK) to play the Tigers in a non-league test on Saturday, March 22. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 3-3. Newkirk lost 9-2 in their recent non-league test against Cashion (Cashion, OK)
