In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Goose Creek Gators baseball team scored a close 10-7 victory over the West Ashley Wildcats.
The Gators (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Cane Bay (Summerville, SC). The Cobras enter the 5A Region 6 game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Cane Bay by Greeneville (Greeneville, TN), 19-0, in a non-league game.
Next, the Wildcats face the James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 24. West Ashley will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 5-3 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC).
