The IMG Academy Black Ascenders baseball team scored 15 runs and held the host Grissom Tigers to 2 in the Ascenders non-league win on Friday.
The Ascenders now own a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Magnolia Heights for a non-league test on Saturday, March 22. IMG Academy Black will play a Chiefs team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL). The Chiefs record now stands at 15-3.
With the defeat, Grissom drops to 14-7 on the year. The Tigers host Madison Academy (Madison, AL) to play the Mustangs in a non-league test on Monday, March 24. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 13-4.
