In Friday's league game, the host South Charleston Black Eagles baseball team scored a close 6-1 win over the Huntington Highlanders.
The Black Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Lincoln County was overwhelmed by Hoover (Clendenin, WV), 12-6, in a non-league game.
Next, the Highlanders play the St. Albans Red Dragons (St. Albans, WV) in a Mountain State game, on Saturday, March 22. Huntington will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Red Dragons go into the game with a 1-0 record after their 9-3 league win over Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV).
