The Southwood Cowboys (Shreveport, LA) baseball trounced the host Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers (Jonesboro, LA), 15-8 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Cowboys now own a 4-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Booker T. Washington-Shreveport for a 4A District 1 challenge on Monday, March 24. Southwood will clash with a Lions team coming off a 21-3 non-league loss to Bossier (Bossier City, LA). The Lions record now stands at 1-7.
With the defeat, Jonesboro-Hodge drops to 6-4 on the year. The Tigers host Lincoln Prep (Grambling, LA) to clash with the Panthers in a 1A District 1 challenge on Saturday, March 22. The Panthers go into the challenge with a record of 0-9. Lincoln Prep lost 16-15 in their recent league challenge against Jonesboro-Hodge (Jonesboro, LA)
