The Mansfield Lions baseball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Willow Springs Bears to 2 in the Lions non-league win on Friday.
The Lions now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Liberty for a non-league test on Monday, March 24. Mansfield will play a Eagles team coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to East Carter (Ellsinore, MO). The Eagles record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Willow Springs drops to 0-1 on the year. The Bears travel to Alton (Alton, MO) to play the Comets in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 25. The Comets go into the test with a record of 1-2. Alton lost 9-0 in their recent non-league test against Twin Rivers (Broseley, MO)
