In Friday's non-league challenge, the host James F. Byrnes Rebels lacrosse squad scored a tight 16-9 triumph over the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes.

The Rebels (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastside (Taylors, SC). The Eagles go into the 5A Upper District 2 challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Eastside held off Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC), 10-9, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Silver Foxes clash with the Spring Valley Vikings (Columbia, SC) in a 5A Lower District 4 challenge, on Monday, March 24. Dutch Fork will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Vikings go into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 9-8 non-league win over Trinity Collegiate (Darlington, SC).
