The Solon Comets lacrosse squad scored 9 points and limited the host Riverside Beavers to 7 in the Comets non-league triumph on Friday.
The Comets now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Highland for a Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 1.
With the loss, Riverside falls to 0-1 on the year. The Beavers host Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin (Chardon, OH) to clash with the Lions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 3. The Lions go into the challenge with a record of 0-2.
