Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) backers exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they saw their lacrosse team gain a win over the host Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC), 8-5 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Weddington improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Warriors host Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 8. The Cavaliers come into the game with a record of 1-2.

The Knights now have a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marvin Ridge for a non-league game on Monday, March 24. Ardrey Kell will play a Mavericks team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Myers Park (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 5-2.
