The Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA) lacrosse nudged the host Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA), 9-8 in Friday's non-league outing.
The Bears now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host North Stafford for a Commonwealth challenge on Tuesday, April 1. Riverbend will clash with a Wolverines squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Brooke Point (Stafford, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Orange County falls to 1-1 on the year. The Fighting hornets travel to Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA) to clash with the Black Knights in a Jefferson challenge on Monday, March 24. The Black Knights go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Charlottesville lost 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA)
