The Academy of Our Lady Penguins softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Cabrini Crescents to 1 in the Penguins non-league win on Friday.

The Penguins now possess a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belle Chasse for a 4A District 10 battle on Tuesday, March 25. Academy of Our Lady will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Cabrini moves to 2-7 on the season. The Crescents travel to McGehee (New Orleans, LA) to confront the Hawks in a non-league battle on Monday, March 24. The Hawks come into the battle with a record of 5-1. McGehee lost 13-7 in their recent non-league battle against Newman (New Orleans, LA)
