The crowd at Friday's league bout between the LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX) and the visiting Avalon Eagles (Avalon, TX), observed LaPoynor's softball team notch a victory over Avalon by a tally of 21-3.

The Flyers (10-7) will now prepare for their bout against Kerens (Kerens, TX). The Bobcats go into the 1A Region III District 20 bout with a 9-8 record. In their last bout, Kerens gained a win over Frankston (Frankston, TX), 7-4, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Mildred Eagles (Corsicana, TX) in a 2A Region III District 20 bout, on Tuesday, March 25. Avalon will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 15-1 league win over Cayuga (Cayuga, TX).
