The St. Thomas More Cougars softball team scored 5 runs and held the host Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets to 3 in the Cougars non-league win on Friday.

The Cougars now possess a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sacred Heart for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 22. St. Thomas More will confront a Trojans team coming off a 3-1 league win over Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 11-6.

With the loss, Catholic of Pointe Coupee moves to 13-5 on the season. The Hornets host Buckeye (Buckeye, LA) to confront the Panthers in a non-league battle on Monday, March 24. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 13-7. Buckeye won 7-6 in their recent non-league battle against Benton (Benton, LA)
