The Pine Prairie Panthers triumphed over the visiting Destrehan Wildcats softball squad by a count of 10-5 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers meet the Lakeside Warriors (Sibley, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 21. Pine Prairie will attempt to upgrade on its 21-2 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 17-2 record after their 14-9 non-league win over Winnfield (Winnfield, LA).
The Wildcats (15-8) will now prepare for their challenge against East St. John (Reserve, LA). The Wildcats enter the 5A District 7 challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, East St. John was routed by Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA), 22-1, in a league challenge.
