Illinois High School Softball - Red Bud edges Freeburg

March 21, 2025: Freeburg, IL 62243

The Red Bud Musketeers softball team scored 10 runs and held the host Freeburg Midgets to 8 in the Musketeers non-league win on Friday.

The Musketeers now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Breese Central for a non-league battle on Friday, March 28.

With the loss, Freeburg moves to 2-3 on the season. The Midgets travel to Triad (Troy, IL) to confront the Knights in a non-league battle on Saturday, March 22. The Knights come into the battle with a record of 1-1. Triad lost 4-1 in their recent non-league battle against Salem (Salem, IL)
