Virginia High School Softball - Monticello bounces James River Midlothian

March 21, 2025: Charlottesville, VA 22902

The Monticello Mustangs softball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting James River Midlothian Rapids to 1 in the Mustangs non-league win on Friday.

The Mustangs now possess a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waynesboro for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 25. Monticello will confront a Little Giants team coming off a 18-0 non-league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Little Giants record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, James River Midlothian moves to 0-2 on the season. The Rapids travel to Cosby (Midlothian, VA) to confront the Titans in a Dominion battle on Thursday, March 27. The Titans come into the battle with a record of 1-0.
