The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Modoc Braves (Alturas, CA) and the host Loyalton Grizzlies (Loyalton, CA), observed Modoc's softball team get by Loyalton by a final score of 9-3.

The Braves (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against St. Bernard's (Eureka, CA). The Crusaders go into the non-league bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, St. Bernard's was routed by Fortuna (Fortuna, CA), 13-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Grizzlies battle the Fall River Bulldogs (McArthur, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 22. Loyalton will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 16-0 non-league loss to Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA).
