The Poyen Indians overwhelmed the visiting Mineral Springs Hornets softball squad by a count of 16-4 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Indians meet the Bismarck Lions (Bismarck, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 22. Poyen will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
The Hornets (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Foreman (Foreman, AR). The Gator Arkansas go into the non-league challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Foreman was routed by Alma (Alma, AR), 7-3, in a non-league challenge.
