In Friday's league match, the host Mountain View Wildcats softball team scored a tight 7-5 win over the Stafford Indians.
The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Massaponax (Spotsylvania, VA). The Panthers come into the Commonwealth match with a 0-2 record.
In their next game, the Indians battle the Colonial Forge Eagles (Stafford, VA) in a Commonwealth match, on Wednesday, April 2. Stafford will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 2-1 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to Osbourn Park (Manassas, VA).
