Mt. Carmel Cubs (New Orleans, LA) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA), 7-6 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Mt. Carmel upgrades its record to 12-3 on the year. The Cubs travel to Lutcher (Lutcher, LA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 22. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Lutcher won 18-2 in their recent league bout against Morgan City (Morgan City, LA)

In their next game, the Jaguars battle the St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons (Hammond, LA) in a 2A District 7 bout, on Tuesday, March 25. Pope John Paul II will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 11-1 league loss to French Settlement (French Settlement, LA).
