In Saturday's non-league bout, the St. Xavier Tigers (Louisville, KY) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Covington Catholic Colonels (Park Hills, KY), by a tally of 7-0.
Next up, the Tigers encounter the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 21. St. Xavier will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 3-1 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Mercer County (Harrodsburg, KY).
The Colonels (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Conner (Hebron, KY). The Cougars enter the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Conner nipped Simon Kenton (Independence, KY), 4-2, in a non-league challenge.
