The Hinsdale South Hornets baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Shepard Astros to 3 in the Hornets non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Hornets (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS). The Patriots go into the non-league match with a 12-1 record. In their last match, Lewisburg edged Acadiana (Lafayette, LA), 3-2, in a non-league match.
The Astros (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Chicago Christian (Palos Heights, IL). The Knights go into the non-league match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Chicago Christian was overwhelmed by Beecher (Beecher, IL), 5-3, in a non-league match.
