The Shiprock Chieftains baseball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Montezuma-Cortez Panthers to 4 in the Chieftains non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Chieftains (4-5) will now prepare for their match against Texico (Texico, NM). The Wolverines go into the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Texico edged Jal (Jal, NM), 23-15, in a non-league match.
The Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Delta (Delta, CO). The Panthers go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Delta was overwhelmed by Monarch (Louisville, CO), 10-5, in a non-league match.
