The Pope Greyhounds held off the visiting Midtown Knights soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Tuesday's non-league match.
The Greyhounds now sport a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to South Cobb for a AAAAAA Region 6 match on Friday, March 25. Pope will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Hiram (Hiram, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-8.
With the loss, Midtown drops to 6-8 on the season. The Knights host Lithia Springs (Lithia Springs, GA) to encounter the Lions in a AAAAA Region 6 match on Friday, March 25. The Lions come into the match with a record of 1-8. Lithia Springs lost 3-2 in their recent league match against Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA)
