South Grand Prairie Warriors (Grand Prairie, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Byron Nelson Bobcat (Trophy Club, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 17-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lamar for a 6A Region I District 8 challenge on Friday, March 25. South Grand Prairie will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 16-1 league loss to Arlington (Arlington, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Byron Nelson falls to 13-3 on the campaign. The Bobcat travel to Keller (Keller, TX) to battle the Indians in a 6A Region I District 4 challenge on Friday, March 25. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 11-9. Keller won 27-4 in their recent league challenge against Fossil Ridge (Keller, TX)
