Kelso Hilanders (Kelso, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host North Thurston Rams (Lacey, WA), 17-6 in a league challenge.

The Hilanders now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to WF West for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 30.

With the loss, North Thurston falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Rams host Gig Harbor (Gig Harbor, WA) to battle the Tides in a 3A South Sound challenge on Thursday, March 24. The Tides enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Gig Harbor lost 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Lake Washington (Kirkland, WA)
