Rolling Meadows Mustangs (Rolling Meadows, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL), 13-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Glenbard East for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4.

With the loss, Elgin falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Crystal Lake South (Crystal Lake, IL) to battle the Gators in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 23. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Crystal Lake South lost 8-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Larkin (Elgin, IL)
