IC Catholic Prep Knights (Elmhurst, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Walther Christian Academy Broncos (Melrose Park, IL), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Page for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24. IC Catholic Prep will face a Patriots squad coming off a 7-4 league win over Lawrence County (Lawrenceburg, TN). The Patriots record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Walther Christian Academy falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Broncos host Woodlands Academy (Lake Forest, IL) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 23. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Woodlands Academy won 13-3 in their recent non-league test against Round Lake (Round Lake, IL)
