In Friday's non-league game, the host Charlotte Stampede Stampede baseball team scored a tight 17-10 victory over the Smithtown Christian Knights.
The Stampede (7-3) will now prepare for their game against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, Sun Valley was overwhelmed by Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC), 2-1, in a league game.
The Knights (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Luther (Maspeth, NY). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Luther tipped Cathedral Prep (Elmhurst, NY), 11-3, in a non-league game.
