The St. Paul Cardinals baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Pettus Eagles to 8 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Friday.

The Cardinals (8-8) will now prepare for their match against Sacred Heart (Hallettsville, TX). The Indians go into the TAPPS Division V District 5 match with a 31-3 record. In their last match, Sacred Heart edged Schulenburg (Schulenburg, TX), 12-3, in a non-league match.

The Eagles (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Runge (Runge, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the 1A Region IV District 31 match with a 3-10 record. In their last match, Runge was overwhelmed by Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX), 10-0, in a league match.
