The Salem Greyhounds baseball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Viola Longhorns to 2 in the Greyhounds non-league victory on Friday.
The Greyhounds (6-7) will now prepare for their match against Izard County (Brockwell, AR). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Izard County gained a win over Norfork (Norfork, AR), 15-6, in a non-league match.
The Longhorns (7-3) will now prepare for their match against Calico Rock (Calico Rock, AR). The Pirates go into the 1A Region 2 match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Calico Rock was overwhelmed by West Side (Greers Ferry, AR), 11-1, in a league match.
