The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Katella Knights (Anaheim, CA) and the visiting Western Pioneers (Anaheim, CA), saw Katella's volleyball squad nip Western by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Katella upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Knights host El Modena (Orange, CA) to play the Vanguards in a non-league bout on Tuesday, April 2. The Vanguards go into the bout with a record of 5-1. El Modena won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Samueli Academy (Santa Ana, CA)

The Pioneers now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hawthorne Math & Science Academy for a non-league bout on Thursday, April 4.
