Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Warriors face the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) in a Jefferson challenge, on Monday, March 25. Western Albemarle will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Riverbend (Fredericksburg, VA).

The Hilltoppers now have a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Liberty Christian for a Seminole challenge on Monday, March 25. Glass will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.
