The Cannon Cougars softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting West Cabarrus Wolverines to 0 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Cannon moves its record to 2-3 on the year. The Cougars travel to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC) to clash with the Mavericks in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 26. The Mavericks come into the game with a record of 7-1.
In their next game, the Wolverines clash with the Mooresville Blue Devils (Mooresville, NC) in a Greater Metro 4A game, on Tuesday, March 26. West Cabarrus will attempt to advance on its 0-6 season record. The Blue Devils go into the battle with a 7-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC).
