Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Doniphan Dons (Doniphan, MO) and the visiting Malden Green Wave (Malden, MO), witnessed Doniphan's softball squad tip Malden by a count of 8-2.

The Dons now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to New Madrid County Central for a non-league match on Monday, March 25. Doniphan will face a Eagles squad coming off a 18-1 non-league loss to East Carter (Ellsinore, MO). The Eagles record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Malden moves to 2-3 on the season. The Green wave travel to Bernie (Bernie, MO) to face the Mules in a non-league match on Monday, March 25. The Mules go into the match with a record of 3-0. Bernie won 15-2 in their recent non-league match against Campbell (Campbell, MO)
