The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Rusk Eagles (Rusk, TX) and the host Canton Eagles (Canton, TX), saw Rusk's baseball team gain a win over Canton by a tally of 6-2.

The Eagles (9-7) will now prepare for their battle against Palestine (Palestine, TX). The Wildcats enter the 4A Region III District 18 battle with a 13-4 record. In their last battle, Palestine held off Malakoff (Malakoff, TX), 10-9, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Eagles face the Kemp Yellowjackets (Kemp, TX) in a 4A Region II District 14 battle, on Tuesday, March 25. Canton will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a 0-10 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Athens (Athens, TX).
