Carthage Tigers (Carthage, MO) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Fort Osage Indians (Independence, MO), 8-4 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Carthage advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Tigers host Hickman (Columbia, MO) to battle the Kewpies in a non-league match on Saturday, March 22. The Kewpies come into the match with a record of 0-0.

The Indians now have a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lee's Summit for a Class 6 District 7 match on Monday, March 24. Fort Osage will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Springfield Catholic (Springfield, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.
