In Saturday's non-league game, the host Mars Fightin' Planets baseball team scored a close 6-5 win over the Neosho Wildcats.
The Fightin' Planets (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Pine-Richland (Gibsonia, PA). The Rams go into the WPIAL 5A 3 game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Pine-Richland nudged North Allegheny (Wexford, PA), 11-5, in a non-league game.
Next, the Wildcats play the Pittsburg Dragons (Pittsburg, KS) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 25. Neosho will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
