In Saturday's non-league game, the host Pitkin Tigers baseball team scored a nice 14-3 win over the Stanley Panthers.
The Tigers (8-5) will now prepare for their game against Pine Prairie (Pine Prairie, LA). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 9-4 record. In their last game, Pine Prairie knocked off Avoyelles Charter (Mansura, LA), 4-3, in a non-league game.
Next, the Panthers play the Hornbeck Hornets (Hornbeck, LA) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 24. Stanley will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Hornets go into the game with a 5-7 record after their 12-2 league win over Pleasant Hill (Pleasant Hill, LA).
