In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host John Adams Academy Rsvl/Lin Patriots volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Wheatland Pirates.

The Patriots (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Encina (Sacramento, CA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Encina edged Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning (Nevada City, CA), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Wolves (Rocklin, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 22. Wheatland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Lincoln (Lincoln, CA).
