In Saturday's non-league match, the host Grants Pirates softball team scored a nice 12-2 win over the Gallup Bengals.
The Pirates (8-0) will now prepare for their match against Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Thunderbirds come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Zuni was routed by Shiprock (Shiprock, NM), 22-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Bengals confront the Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, March 25. Gallup will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 1-3 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to Farmington (Farmington, NM).
